I've been *STOKED* to make this announcement—but it didn't feel right to upload a social media post without alerting you, first 😉
Remember this cover?
It was a great ebook cover and a...well, it was a paperback cover. I wasn't exactly thrilled with how it printed, and my cover designer just sorta...vanished...before he fixed anything or designed the next book.
Not something you wanna have happen at the beginning of a series 😅
So I cracked open Canva, read and watched a LOT of tutorials, said a few prayers, found my design pack (that I paid commercial licensing for, don't worry!) and voila:
I'm quite proud!
Also, I need to give a HUGE shoutout to this designer on Creative Market, whose catalog of graphics is as extensive as it is stunning: Digital Curio (seriously, I am OBSESSED!)
If you're curious about the paperback version—or just happy to humor me and my need to brag because this took FOREVER—here it is:
"Okay, great. Awesome. New cover. But what about BOOK TWO??!!??"
So glad you asked 😎
"WAIT. Does this mean you have a publishing date?! 😍😍"
I sure do have a goal date in mind, yes! I also have a bunch of pre-written scenes I thought I'd lost that are now populating my Notes section in Scrivener—plus an outline (*le gasp*) to rewrite certain scenes that were already good to go...and then lost to a data glitch so deep, even Google can't find them.
What I can for sure confirm is that Heir of Oberon is coming out in 2025. Preferably summer. It really comes down to how quickly I can finally finish the manuscript.
Hopefully—Lord willing—I'll be wrapping it up by New Year's.
No pressure. 😅
In the meantime, I'm giving you the official "first edition" of the EPUB version as a Thank You for being here, being so supportive, and being my biggest fans. Ithandryll has never been available in EPUB before, just the Kindle format (and they *are* different!), so you're the first to add this to your Kobo/Google Books/Apple Books/anything-essentially-not-Kindle!
And if you want to help an author out, please let your bookish buddies know: Ithandryll is on sale on Kindle!
Down from $4.99 to $1.99, this includes the new cover and will be on sale through December 31st. Once I figure out how to fix WooCommerce on my *NEW* website www.nikkiauberkett.com, the EPUB version will be on sale there, too.
The paperback is currently being processed and I'll be ordering a copy to verify the printing is good (I learned my lesson with the Steamy Exclusive Edition 😬). Once that's all good and cleared, I'll let you know!
In the meantime, I'd love to hear your theory:
Who is Oberon's Heir?
