✨This is not a joke (or drill)!✨

I was very, very tempted to tell you that:

1) Roxi was dreaming the whole time and none of it actually happened

2) Devon kicks the bucket on Page 274

But I value my life and want all my limbs to remain attached to my body 🤣

I envy the other authors and publishers who know how to pull April Fool's Day pranks way better than me, like the email I received announcing new flavored book edges...and Jennifer Armentrout's latest release being scented a delicious roasted garlic...

...and the Great Lakes Bookseller's Association rebranding into the Goth League Boss' Association 🤪 (That one actually got a few bookstores panicking!)

The REAL Announcement: Heir of Oberon is remastered and READY!

If you bought/downloaded from Amazon Kindle, the updated edition is already there—no further action needed. I like to keep things simple. (I try, anyway 🤪)

If you've been reading EPUBs directly from me, here is the best link to Direct Download (no registration or signup required):

"What's new in the second edition?"

(Real Talk: I flip-flop between calling it "Remastered" and "Second", so...bear with me 😅)

There are definitely some significant changes—enough to warrant a re-read if you'd already gone through the First Edition:

  • A whole new chapter illustrating a key point one reviewer mentioned and I 1000% agreed with (what's up with Mei and portals?)
  • Deeper dives into other aspects within the same chapters, just massaged a bit more
  • Stronger hints/more Easter eggs leading into Book 3
  • Apparently my proofreading was absolute s*** the first time around and after I stared blankly at the screen of blaring "FIX THIS" signals from the (recently downloaded) editing software, I did exactly that and fixed misspellings, typos, punctuation, and other things ya'll were too nice to point out 🤪
    • I need to emphasize how embarrassing this was for me, being a former professional editor and everything. Was I half asleep through the whole First Edition?!?
  • Bonus Chapter in the back matter to convince you to start reading Sinners & Starlight on my Substack (cough cough COUGH cough cough...*allergies*...)

Book Reviews are still needed 😉

This one didn't get much—if any—when it published last year, so I'm hoping the Revised/Second Edition helps boost your confidence in leaving a review on Amazon, Goodreads, StoryGraph, social media...wherever and everywhere!

(If you're curious about the data: there were roughly 140 ARC readers and only 16 reviews)

PLEASE NOTE: You'll want to notate your review is for the Second Edition/Remastered Edition so readers understand any references to the new material. I did add the updated edition to GoodReads, Amazon, etc. but they will show under the "same" record at first glance.

Want the paperback(s)?

MaiFest 2026 is around the corner—and I'll be relaunching Heir of Oberon's paperbacks at the weekend-long book signing at my bookstore!

If you can't make it, that's totally fine: pre-orders for the signed paperbacks are open as of today through April 15th WITH shipping options available. I'm signing all the books in the garden whether they'll be picked up in person or shipped the following week—and I'll try to do it live on Instagram, too!

These are Standard Paperbacks—no bells, whistles, or (sadly because I DID try) printed edges—to keep costs low and books affordable for as many people as possible. Each book runs at $24.99 individually, HOWEVER you can save $10 off both when you buy the MaiFest Book Bundle:

Kickstarter Edition for Book 2 *UPCOMING*

If you're waiting for the Collector's Edition, no problem!

I'm just not 100% sure when that campaign will launch—primarily because I'm trying to avoid the humidity season for those sprayed edges—so keep that in mind if you prefer paperbacks ASAP 😅

Solid possibility that campaign will launch in June. July. Somewhere in there.

I'll send you the Page Follow link when that's ready 💪🏼

Happy Reading!
